Welcome to Troop 120!
We welcomed 6 new scouts who graduated from Pack 120 on Sunday, February 26: Justin, Dakota, Kyle, Alec, Johnathan! These 5 scouts were awarded their Arrow of Light award at Blue & Gold Ceremonies. Also graduating from Pack 120 to Boy Scout Troop 120 was Ezra B (not pictured). Congratulations and see you this weekend on the Crossover Campout!

Not everything goes on the uniform shirt and not everything is worn at all times. Here's a great link to EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about where those patches really go on the uniform (and where they don't!). Hmm... Could you pass a "Patch Police" test???

The new neckerchiefs are completed and available for purchase at meetings.
Cost is $7.00 and this amount can be deducted from your scout account.

Red - Bulldog T-shirts (printed front and back) $8.00 all sizes
Tan - Troop 120 T-shirts (scout sign symbol) $5.00 limited sizes

Hooded Sweatshirts ("Class B")
We will take orders for sweatshirts Monday night at the troop meeting. Orders will be printed and delivered the following meeting. Adult Sizes:

$23.00 2XL
$28.00 3XL (limited availability)
$5.00 (optional) Name personalization on right front

I will have Hooded Sweatshirts at the campout this weekend to try on for sizes and order by request. Red with the same screenprint as the red Class B T-shirts!

Camping

  • Crossover Campout March 3-5 at the Dean Farm.
    Parents, family and cub scouts may join the troop to observe the formal Crossover on Saturday evening at 6:00. Newly crossed-over scouts are invited to camp overnight on Saturday after the ceremony.
  • Fort Osage Campout: March 24-25; $20 per person - must be signed up in advance with signed release forms
  • Silver Dollar City Campout: April 29-30. Important: last date to sign up for this campout it Monday, March 27
  • May 6-7: O.A. Campout at Naish Scout Reservation
  • June 23-25: Canoe Trip on the Niangua River

IMPORTANT NOTE: Although in-person popcorn sales ended at the end of October, you CAN continue to take online popcorn orders throughout the year that will directly (financially) benefit your individual scout account.

Individual scout ORDER CODES for ongoing orders were given out at the Monday 10/24 meeting. New incoming scouts will receive their personalized order codes as they join the troop. Your personal order code stays the same the entire time you are in the troop.

Families arrive after 10:00 a.m. Each family brings a side dish and a dessert.

Camp physicals are due July 1. Scouts need updated physicals signed by their physician every 3 years - adult scouters' physicals must be updated every year.

The cost for camp is $245 per scout. We have reserved 36 positions for camp.

Half of camp fees: due 2/22
Remaining camp fees: due 4/1

TRIBE OF MIC-O-SAY INFORMATION

The Tribe of Mic-O-Say is an H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation honor camping program, based upon the intensification of the principles and ideas of Scouting.

ORDER OF THE ARROW INFORMATION

OA is a national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. Eligibility Requirements:
  • approval by your Scoutmaster;
  • camp 15 days and nights, at least 5 of those days at long term or summer camp;
  • be elected by the youth members of your unit
